The view on the abandoned factory gets “developed” by the sights of individuals in the scene. So what ever has been seen by somebody in the frame, becomes visible to us as well.

The space was recorded from the perspective of a surveillance camera. The recorded visual material is being stored in the image itself, so that the guards, passing by with the flashlights, slowly reveal the space by illuminating it. And as it is a case with surveillance systems, information gets automatically deleted after certain period. In this case, it allows the archive to constantly recreate the image.
